Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a Social Media Manager to temporarily support the global social presence of Diablo Immortal. This role is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that align with the game's live service roadmap, ensuring content is timely, platform native, and reflective of in-game features, events, and player experiences.

The Social Media Manager will work closely with cross-functional partners, including game development, production, art, and brand marketing, to integrate social planning into campaign development and live operations. This role requires a strong understanding of game content and player motivations, with the ability to translate product features into compelling social storytelling.

NOTE: This is an anticipated 12-month assignment and offers a flexible hybrid work week from our Irvine, CA studio location, with a mix of remote and on-site days. While hybrid is the standard arrangement, you're also welcome to work on-site full-time if you prefer.

This is a contingent worker position and will be staffed through Volt, a staffing and workforce management company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global social media strategies aligned with Diablo Immortal's live service content and franchise priorities

  • Partner with art, production, and creative teams to plan, request, and deliver social-first assets that support game features and campaign beats

  • Manage global social content calendars, ensuring alignment with development timelines and marketing initiatives

  • Collaborate with creators and influencers to amplify campaign messaging and extend the reach of game content

  • Maintain and evolve the brand's social voice, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across platforms

  • Engage with the player community across social channels, fostering meaningful interaction and monitoring sentiment

  • Work cross-functionally with development, community, PR, and regional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and execution

  • Monitor and analyze social performance, leveraging insights to inform ongoing content and channel strategy

  • Manage Pipeline direction for incoming content from multiple sources, including partners, agencies, and internal creative teams

  • Lead social media strategy and execution for Diablo Immortal's presence at BlizzCon, including the planning, development, and delivery of all social content, assets, and activations

  • Support the scripting and production of 4x Developer Update videos in partnership with development and production teams

  • Create and maintain a social content playbook to support evolving development roadmaps and content strategies

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in social media management or related field, preferably within gaming or live service environments

  • Strong understanding of Diablo Immortal, ARPG systems, and player motivations

  • Demonstrated ability to translate product features and game content into effective social campaigns

  • Experience working cross-functionally with creative, production, or development teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience writing for global

  • audiences

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $74,020.00 - $136,944.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
