Redfin is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for some of the most important customer experiences across our native iOS and Android apps. From helping customers schedule home tours and connect with agents, to supporting mortgage and refinance journeys, homeowner experiences, and seller tools, your team will own products that directly influence customer growth and engagement across the Redfin ecosystem.

In this role, you'll lead a talented team of mobile engineers, partnering closely with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and Data to deliver intuitive, high-quality experiences used by millions of customers. You'll also join a passionate community of mobile engineers working together to evolve our shared architecture, improve developer productivity, and raise the bar for native app quality across Redfin. About therole

  • Lead a team of mobile engineers building customer-facing experiences across Redfin's iOS and Android apps.

  • Oversee the end-to-end mobile development lifecycle, shipping high-quality updates to the App Store and Google Play every week.

  • Partner with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and Data to prioritize work that delivers the greatest value for customers and the business.

  • Mentor and coach engineers, helping them grow technically while making sound architectural and design decisions that balance customer needs, business goals, and long-term maintainability.

  • Recruit and develop exceptional mobile engineers, providing thoughtful feedback, career guidance, and opportunities for growth.

  • Help define the team's technical strategy and product roadmap using customer insights, engineering expertise, and business metrics.

  • Foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and collaboration by celebrating successes and helping the team learn from challenges.

  • Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering workflows, improve code quality, and increase team productivity.

Aboutyou

  • You're passionate about building beautiful, customer-focused mobile experiences that delight users.

  • You have 6+ years of experience developing for iOS or Android, including 3+ years managing teams of primarily mid to senior level mobile engineers delivering consumer-facing products. Our mobile stack includes Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, and Jetpack Compose.

  • You have a proven track record of building high-performing teams and connecting day-to-day engineering work to meaningful customer and business outcomes.

  • You enjoy mentoring engineers at all career stages and helping them grow their technical and leadership skills.

  • You have experience using modern AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar technologies to improve developer productivity.
