Job description

Summary:
This role is responsible for providing day-to-day engineering support for manufacturing operations, as well as implementing yield, process and product improvements.
Essential Functions:
  • Maintains safety, product quality/yield and manufacturing effectiveness through daily troubleshooting and resolution of process difficulties through a hands on and collaborative approach.
  • Takes initiative to optimize/continuously improve manufacturing processes to provide sustainable gains in cost effectiveness and product performance through capital projects, statistical analysis, designed experiments and procedural changes.
  • Works with internal functions outside of operations as well as customers on technical/quality issues and provide special products.
  • Works to resolve problems, develop, and start up new products.
  • Serve as an informal leader and mentor junior engineers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • Lean six sigma/Green Belt or demonstrated experience in continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with engineering and statistical analysis software.
