Position: Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech) Per Diem
Location: San Bernardino, CA
Job Type: Per Diem


Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech) to join our Emergency Department team. The ER Tech assists physicians and nurses in providing safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Assist with direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
  • Obtain and document vital signs.
  • Perform EKGs and specimen collection as assigned.
  • Transport patients throughout the hospital.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms.
  • Assist during emergency procedures and trauma activations.
  • Restock supplies and maintain equipment readiness.
  • Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Current California EMT certification required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Phlebotomy certification.
  • Current Management Assaultive Behavior Certification.
  • One year of EMT, emergency department, or acute care experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cardiac monitoring and EKGs.
  • Previous hospital or emergency department experience.
