Job description

Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill VES Installer positions for an Automotive Manufacturing company in Smyrna, TN. This is a Temp-to-Hire job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:

• Install a variety of new vehicle accessories on newly manufactured vehicles according to customer specifications
• Install accessories including remote tailgate locks, lighted running boards, illuminated kick plates, step rails, splash guards, camper shells, decals, bed liners, and other vehicle enhancements
• Follow detailed written installation procedures to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
• Safely operate hand tools, electric tools, and air-powered tools while maintaining production standards
• Inspect completed installations to ensure accessories are installed correctly and meet quality expectations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures
• Assist with additional installation and production-related duties as assigned

Compensation (USD):

1st Shift
$17.50/hour

2nd Shift
$18.50/hour

Schedule:

1st Shift
Monday - Friday
7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.
Overtime as needed

2nd Shift
Monday – Friday
2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Overtime as needed.

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
• Ability to follow detailed written training and installation instructions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds for distances up to 50 feet, including overhead lifting
• Ability to climb and work at heights up to 15 feet
• Strong hand dexterity and the ability to safely operate electric and air-powered hand tools
• Previous automotive, mechanical, or accessory installation experience is a plus but not required
