Piston Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Analyst to join our Information Technology team supporting the Piston Automotive business unit. This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Redford, MI and will play a critical role in supporting both end users and core IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience across a broad range of technologies and possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily end-user support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory (users, groups, computers).

  • Manage phone systems, badge access provisioning, and A/V conferencing tools.

  • Coordinate incident and trouble response using ServiceNow ITSM platform.

  • Install, configure, and support company-approved software, including:

    • Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint

    • AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Syncplicity, Teamcenter/CATIA

  • Provide mobile device support, including Microsoft Authenticator and mobile Office apps.

  • Troubleshoot and support wired/wireless networks, DHCP, VLANs, and IPAM.

  • Support multifunction printer/copier units.

  • Maintain and diagnose physical datacenter components such as routers, switches, firewalls, servers, UPS systems, storage arrays, and environmental sensors.

  • Apply Windows Updates, manage security patches, and handle image deployment.

  • Maintain backup and recovery processes and technologies.

  • Occasional travel to other sites may be required (10%)

Required Skills and Technologies:
  • Core Platforms: Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (Office, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)

  • Systems Management: Image Deployment, Patch Management, Windows Updates

  • Networking: DNS, DHCP, VLAN, IPAM, Cisco Meraki

  • Virtualization: VMware vCenter and ESXi

  • Monitoring & Remote Tools: SolarWinds, Endpoint Protection, ServiceNow

  • Hardware Support: Printers/Copiers, servers, networking and A/V equipment

  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Experience with enterprise-grade solutions

  • Mobile Device Support: iOS/Android mobile Office suite and multilayer security tools

Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred, High School Diploma or GED required. 

  • 3+ years of experience in IT support or infrastructure-related role.

    • Relevant certifications (MCSA, CompTIA, Cisco, VMware, etc.) are a plus.

  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday at the Lake Orion Plant
