The Sr. Engineer Mobile Solutions will serve as UCC’s program lead for the business and proposal development along with strategic execution of assigned projects. This person will lead the customer facing initiative for growing UCC’s mobile equipment focused project activities including but not limited to; Sales Development, Proposal Development, and Contract Execution.  Requiring an entrepreneurial mindset, leading the UCC initiative and working with both direct leads and Field Sales to drive leads and opportunities within the equipment offering field of solutions.  The drive for this position will be to identify and close projects at end user and strategic partner customers.  Partner with stakeholders and UCC collaborators as the point person for supporting functions in the project focus.  Stays focused on both UCC owned assets while also gaining partnerships in the industry to complement the UCC portfolio.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Sr. Engineer Mobile Solutions:

  • Coordinates with the Mobile Solutions Program Director on opportunities involving UCC mobile assets.  Works with the Field Sales and Sales Management team to identify projects worth direct follow-up.  Develops and maintains market competitive data to be able to respond quickly to customer needs.
  • Sales Focus – Collaborate with Sales Management, Field Sales and Marketing to build out a pipeline of project opportunities.  For projects identified as equipment focused, take lead on working with customers or field reps to close business.
  • Travel with sales team regularly to support equipment focused jobs at end user locations.
  • Specific tactics include: Analyzing pricing structure, Determining best technology train for each application and maintaining a knowledge of the market landscape.
  • Report to upper management status, successes, challenges, and metrics in a concise and consistent format.
  • Channel Management / Support – Collaborate effectively with identified 3rd party strategic sales partners.  Evaluate effectiveness of 3rd party partners and recommend areas of improvement, change management and new opportunities.
  • Execution – Develop a regular cadence of collaboration with other UCC stakeholders such as finance, project controls, project management, systems engineering and operations to ensure project completion is done accurately and timely.
  • Marketing and Innovation Support – work with the marketing team to develop web-based assets such as cases studies and SEO optimization.  Represent UCC at various tradeshows and follow up on lead generation activities.  Keep a pulse of the market and equipment being deployed in the field for investment recommendations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology equivalent experience
  • Experience (5+ Years) in a customer-facing role with specific knowledge of the industrial water / wastewater sector including technology evaluations and process application engineering
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement/Lean or Process Development

  • Ability to perform sustained physical effort handling, moving loading and unloading components in/on/off pallets containers, crates etc.
  • Ability to work in awkward and strained work positions that require physical agility.
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base Pay Range:  $110,000 to $130,000 annual pay based on skills and experience
