Overview

SUMMER 2027

Shure offers a challenging, fun, and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who are asked to relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

Theย Mobile Applications (iOS) Internย will assist withย the development of Shure's iOS applications. This may include work on audio recording/playback and video capture subsystems, interfacing with Shure hardware products, user experience, and R&D. The intern will also contribute to development planning and task estimation.ย ย 

This Internship is Hybrid in Niles, IL.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with development (coding) of mobile application software by providing technical expertise to internal company software developersย ย 
  • Collaborates with marketing, and test and system engineering to define platform mobile application software use cases and requirementsย ย 
  • Assists with the creation of integration and unit tests for mobile application software with other Company proprietary software (embedded systems)ย ย 
  • Estimates, organizes, and documents tasksย ย 
  • Performs other duties as assignedย ย 
Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of course work in Computer Science or related fieldย ย 
  • Basic knowledge of mobile application software development on iOS platformย ย 
  • Knowledge of iOS, and general software development, design principlesย ย 
  • Development experience using Swift, and preferably Objective-C, is desiredย ย 
  • Able to apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issuesย ย 
  • Able to follow standard instructions, practices and procedures in analyzing situations or dataย
