Job Description We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Core Java, Enterprise Java, and the Spring Framework and a proven ability to lead complex engineering initiatives and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. Work Arrangement and Interview Details: Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week.

Onsite from day 1. Target start month: June or July. Interview process: 1-2 rounds.

Responsibilities: Lead and participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex system engineering activities across cross-functional teams. Own components of highly complex engineering and analytical tasks. Establish I/O processes, working parameters, and compatibility for hardware and software, coordinate subsystem design, and drive total system integration.

Serve as a technology subject matter expert and communicate solutions to technical teams, management, business executives, and vendors. Manage multiple complex projects and direct team activities for special initiatives or operations; may have direct reports. Lead resolution of complex problems through in-depth analysis of data and factors.

Exercise judgment within established practices and policies to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, technology certifications, or substantial equivalent experience. Typically 7-10 years of IT experience.

5+ years of strong Core Java and 5+ years of Enterprise Java experience. Hands-on Spring Framework and application server experience (WebSphere, WebLogic, or similar). Solid object-oriented design for systems and components.

Web services development and integration (SOAP, REST) and middleware development. XML parsing and binding frameworks (JAXB, StAX, etc.). Continuous Integration tools such as Hudson or Jenkins; build with Maven.

Performance analysis tools such as JProbe or Dynatrace. Code and artifact repositories such as Perforce, Nexus, or Archiva. Unit and integration testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.

Clear communication skills with ability to present to small and large audiences. Preferred Skills: Agile or Scrum delivery experience; Spring AOP; emerging technologies and frameworks. .NET, mobile platforms (Android, iOS), REST services, Spring Security, Encryption and PKI.

High performance and throughput systems design and delivery (200+ TPS). Distributed caching frameworks (Ehcache, IBM WebSphere eXtreme Scale, etc.). Experience leading onshore and offshore teams across multiple time zones.
