This allows the developer to legally work and reside in the country where the job is located. Sponsorship often involves the employer providing documentation and supporting the visa application process, such as for H-1B in the United States or Tier 2 in the UK. It is common in tech industries where there is a high demand for mobile development skills. Requirements and procedures may vary depending on the destination country's immigration regulations.

To thrive as a Mobile Developer, you need strong programming skills in languages like Java, Kotlin, Swift, or Dart, along with a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with development tools such as Android Studio, Xcode, and version control systems like Git, as well as certifications like Google Associate Android Developer, are highly valued. About the Company

Our client is an early-stage consumer technology company building AI-powered products focused on music learning.

The team is small, fast-moving, and focused on building products that combine artificial intelligence with engaging consumer experiences.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Founding Mobile Engineer to take ownership of its mobile experience from the ground up.

The current product is iOS-based, with Android planned next. This person will own the mobile codebase and help bring existing AI technology to mobile before moving into the development of a new AI-native learning experience.

This is a product-leaning full-stack role. While the primary focus will be mobile and frontend development, you'll also need to be comfortable working across the backend when required.

The team places a strong emphasis on product thinking, design intuition, speed, and creating polished user experiences.

What You'll Own

  • Work across core infrastructure including authentication, payments, databases, and APIs

  • Translate product specifications and designs into production code

  • Ship quickly and iterate based on user feedback and usage data

  • Own the mobile UX end to end

  • Help establish mobile engineering practices as the team grows

  • Work closely with engineering, design, and product

What We're Looking For
  • 0–4 years of experience

  • Product-oriented full-stack mobile development experience

  • Experience with React Native, Swift, Kotlin, or similar technologies

  • Experience with Next.js and Tailwind

  • Experience with backend-as-a-service platforms; Supabase is strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with authentication, payments, database design, and APIs

  • Strong product and design intuition

  • Strong first-principles problem solving

  • Ability to work independently and own the mobile product end to end

  • Comfortable working with modern development practices and AI coding tools

  • Strong ability to move quickly from specifications and designs to production

Nice to Have
  • Musical experience or a genuine passion for music

  • Familiarity with music data formats or music transcription

  • Game development or learning-software experience

  • A multidisciplinary background

  • Experience building polished consumer applications

Work Environment
  • In-office role in the San Francisco Bay Area

  • Fast-paced early-stage environment

  • Visa sponsorship available

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $120,000–$200,000/year

Benefits include:
