Job description

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Mobile Crane Operator for a project in Nashville, TN.

OVERTIME AVAILABLE!

  • PAY: $32- $40/hr.] (based upon experience)
  • HOURS: Expected shifts will be 8-hour days. 7:00am - 4:30pm
  • WEEKLY HOURS: 40 - 50 hours/week]
  • START DATE: ASAP
  • DURATION: 6 months

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Mobile Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a crane to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment on construction sites. Applicants must hold a valid NCCCO or NCCER certification and have prior experience operating mobile crane on tight job site.

Responsibilities for Mobile Crane Operator:

  • Operate mobile and/or fixed cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with NCCCO standards and site safety protocols.
  • Inspect cranes and rigging daily to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
  • Work closely with riggers, signalpersons, and ground crews to coordinate lifts.
  • Read and interpret lift plans, load charts, and blueprints.
  • Operate mobile crane to lower equipment into tunnel.
  • Monitor load weights, balance, and boom angles to ensure safe operations.
  • Perform basic maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety regulations.
  • Assist with other construction-related tasks as needed when not operating equipment.

Qualifications for the Mobile Crabe Operator:

  • Valid NCCCO or NCCER Certification.
  • Experience operating mobile crane on tight job site.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating cranes in civil, heavy highway, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven knowledge of crane load charts, rigging techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have reliable transportation to the job site
  • Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE
  • Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
