Job description

The Install Manager is responsible for ensuring quality installations by overseeing quality assurance processes and conducting thorough checks to meet company standards and customer expectations. They provide mentorship and training to installers, promote a positive customer experience, and collaborate with Sales Representatives for seamless transitions between sales and installation processes. Additionally, they actively participate in store management meetings, manage supply orders, enforce company policies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Install Manager performs hands-on installations, provides sales support, troubleshoots issues, and exemplifies company culture by upholding professionalism and high ethical standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Quality Installations:

    • Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure all installations meet company standards and customer expectations.

    • Conduct thorough checks and troubleshooting to ensure accurate and flawless installations of various 12V mobile electronics products, car accessories, and custom work.

  • Mentorship & Training:

    • Provide mentorship and guidance to other installers on installation best practices, product knowledge, and customer escalations.

    • Assist with staff training and development programs to equip team members with necessary skills for excellence in their roles.

  • Customer Experience & Operational Excellence:

    • Promote a positive customer experience by embodying company values and upholding high ethical standards in all interactions.

    • Collaborate with Sales Representatives for customer presentations and ensure a seamless transition between sales and installation processes.

  • Collaboration & Management:

    • Actively participate in store management team meetings, providing insights on current issues and solutions.

    • Collaborate with management on strategies to promote installation services, enhance brand awareness, and collect media for social platforms.

  • Supply Management & Policies Enforcement:

    • Order install supplies and ensure installers have necessary resources for efficient workflow.

    • Enforce company policies and procedures related to installation tasks, customer interactions, and workplace cleanliness.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Oversee continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback for process enhancements and staying updated on industry trends and technological advancements.

    • Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to duplicate successful processes in the future.

  • Hands-On Installation:

    • Perform installations of various 12V mobile electronics products, car accessories, and custom work as needed.

    • Assist installers when appropriate, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.

  • Sales Support:

    • Provide assistance with sales of car audio and accessories, leveraging technical expertise to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales.

  • Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:

    • Conduct troubleshooting during installations to address any issues and ensure optimal performance of installed products.

  • Exemplify Company Culture:

    • Set an example of professionalism and team professionalism within the install bay, personifying company culture and values.

    • Hold team members to high ethical standards and foster a positive work environment conducive to growth and success.

Qualifications:

  • Strongly prefer experience with management experience, in consumer electronics retail.

  • Strongly prefer experience with people management experience, including hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and staff development.

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in car audio installation, automotive electronics, or related field.

  • Must be organized and a self-starter, able to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.

  • Possession of own tools and a clean driver's license is required.

  • Essential passion for auto customization and enthusiasm for the industry.

  • Proficiency in using installation tools and equipment, with demonstrated technical expertise.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical diagrams and instructions accurately.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.

  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail, ensuring quality and professionalism in all aspects of work.
