Job description

Collabetive Services, LLC is looking for a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, test, document, and support business-critical software, database processes, APIs, and cloud-hosted systems used by Adamโ€™s Pest Control, Collabetive Services, and Blu Star clients.

As our Senior Software Developer, youโ€™ll play a lead role in database design and critical system integrations. Youโ€™ll collaborate closely with our CTO and Lead Developers to master existing systems, document institutional knowledge, and elevate our standards to build fast, repeatable data conversion processes.

Position Type: Full-Time ยท Salary ยท Exempt

Work Location: Medina, MN This role is required to work one day a week in office.

We offer proven best practices, real-world advice, and a network of experienced business consultants in management, process improvement, entomology, and marketing; each with extensive experience in pest control. You will also find tools and services to improve efficiency that will save you time and money.

The Collabetive is owned by Adamโ€™s Pest Control, Inc. which has over 100 employees. This also extends Adamโ€™s benefits to Collabetive employees.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • 50% Database / Conversion / Data Architecture: Own the client data migration lifecycle. Build the automated scripts, ETL logic, tooling, and validation reports required to turn a painful manual conversion process into a repeatable science.
  • 25% Back-End & API Development: Design, build, and support secure, high-performing APIs and web services linking our core platform to mobile applications and third-party systems.
  • 15% Azure Cloud / DevOps / Support: Help manage and optimize our Azure-hosted applications and SQL databases to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
  • 10% Transition & Mentorship: Work hand-in-hand with our departing Lead Developer to capture undocumented system logic, establish database naming standards, and create robust documentation.


Requirements:

  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree or higher in computer science, information systems, software development, data management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5โ€“8 years of professional software development, database development, or systems integration experience.
  • Deep proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, advanced T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query tuning.
  • Proven experience in mapping, cleansing, and reconciling messy data from third-party legacy systems.
  • A practical, problem-solving mindset and the willingness to read and respect existing legacy codebases while actively finding ways to modernize and automate them.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Preferred Skills:

  • Azure SQL / Azure App Services / Azure infrastructure familiarity
  • ETL tooling or scripting experience
  • SSIS, PowerShell, React, Python, C#, .NET, or similar
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, accounting, field service, logistics, billing, or service routes
  • Reporting or analytics experience
  • Experience working with outside vendors and technical support teams


Nice to Have Skills:

  • Visual Basic / ASP.NET legacy experience
  • Telerik familiarity
  • Mobile/backend integration experience
  • QuickBooks or accounting system data familiarity
  • Security, logging, monitoring, and deployment automation experience
  • AI-assisted coding experience (Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.)
