We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Application Developer to lead the evolution of our mobile applications. You will drive architectural improvements, mentor team members, and contribute to critical features while staying at the forefront of modern mobile development practices, including AI-assisted software development tools.

Responsibilities

Lead

  • Drive feature and architecture improvements to Ci's Mobile Applications

  • Mentor team members in mobile app development best practices

  • Champion adoption of AI-assisted development tools and methodologies within the team

Develop

  • Code daily and implement key critical features on Ci's Mobile Apps

  • Assist team members with challenging mobile app development problems

  • Create and maintain automated test frameworks

  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance code quality and development velocity

Collaborate

  • Provide feedback into the UX/UI design process to ensure designs can be implemented

  • Work with the Product team to define the mobile app roadmap

  • Coordinate mobile app development with teams building browser and REST API improvements

  • Work with the DevOps team to enhance build/package/deploy procedures

  • Work with the QA team to optimize testing procedures and cross-device support verification

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 years experience building high quality mobile applications

  • Able to bootstrap completely new applications, from initial concept through to publishing on app stores

  • Extensive experience using React Native to build cross-platform apps for iOS, Android, and AppleTV

  • Familiar with automated packaging and deployment for the Apple and Google Play stores (e.g. fastlane, Bitrise)

  • Experience building native modules using Swift, Kotlin and Java

  • Proven experience building applications that consume REST APIs

  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization concepts, with practical application in mobile app development

  • Experience using Redux and RTK Query for React Native state management

  • Experience working with fully remote teams

  • Experience with AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT for code generation, or similar platforms)

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and integrate AI tools to improve code quality, reduce development time, and maintain best practices

  • Understanding of AI limitations and responsible AI usage in production software

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with digital media concepts

  • Previous experience with integrating video playback into mobile apps, including Digital Rights Management integration

  • Working knowledge of server-side REST API development, ideally with C# and ASP.Net

  • Track record of staying current with latest Web UI technologies

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $116,157 to $154,877.The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus plan, which is based on company performance and is not guaranteed, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave.
