Job Description
Under the direct supervision of a Sr. or Lead Medical Assistant, aids in the proper patient-flow by preparing and supplying all examination rooms for scheduled appointments. The extern will then observe role of Sr./Lead Medical Assistant while assisting patients.
Responsibility:
  • Escorts patient to and from examination and/or procedure areas.
  • Shadows Lead or Sr. MOA when performing vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs.
  • Reviews scheduled appointments to determine needed supplies.
  • Obtains and sets-ups supplies and equipment in advance.
  • Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Current enrollment in a Medical Assistant program, required.
