Maverick Shuttle Driver - Automobile Driver (FA27002)

Salary Range: $20.87 - $29.73

Salary Range: $20.87 - $23.34 / hourly; $43,576 - $48,733 / annually

Job Description

The employee in this position shall drive the Maverick Shuttle circulating throughout the campus picking up and dropping off people trying to get to buildings within MSU's campus core and/or back to distant parking lots (e.g., Lots 1-2 and Lots 20-23).

During the periods when classes are not in session and during the summer months this employee shall assist other departments within Facilities Management, including Traffic Control, Receiving and Delivery Services (deliver packages, office moves, surplus pickups), and/or Postal Services (pickup and delivery of mail).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of state laws and regulations relating to the operation of passenger cars and light trucks.
  • Ability to drive all types of passenger vehicles or light trucks; understand and carry out simple instructions.
  • The employee must possess a valid driver's license (class D) as well as DVS records check with an acceptable rating.
  • Because of lifting needs associated with package deliveries and traffic cones, employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
