What is needed for this job:

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Excellent knowledge of instructing in the program area - Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, and more!
  • Ability to perform activities which require sustained concentration and attention.
  • Mornings, nights, and/or weekend availability

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Run on-site instruction for youth sports leagues including stretch & warmup, activities, & games for respective sport

  • Coach youth flag football, soccer, basketball teams in practices & games

  • Officiate youth flag football games via NFL Flag rules, youth soccer via MLS Soccer rules, and basketball games depending on the season

  • Teach age-appropriate skills following YMCA curriculum for respective sport

  • Set up class 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time to ensure classes begin on time

  • Provide a safe & clean environment that allows members and participants to learn YMCA programs

  • Take attendance to ensure participants are enrolled in class

  • Lead teams with positivity & enthusiasm

  • Provide excellent service to members and participants
