About this position
Florida Southern College is seeking experienced professionals to teach as adjunct faculty in our Medical Laboratory Sciences program, run in conjunction with Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Adjuncts hired in this position by Florida Southern College must also be hired by Lakeland Regional Health as a PRN.

About our ideal candidate
The minimum educational background required is a Bachelor Degree in the natural or health sciences. Must maintain an active status for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist under the rules of the Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel (Department of Health/Division of Medical Quality Assurance) in the disciplines to be taught. Completes required continuing education credits to maintain licensure. Maintains an active status for licensure as Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) under the rules of the Board of Clinical Personnel (Department of Health/Division of Medical Quality Assurance) for the disciplines to be taught. Preferred certification with the National Registry (ASCP, NCA, etc.) at a Technologist level or higher.
Completion of an approved MLS program is required. Three to five years of experience in professional/technical role is preferred.

Please Note: Adjunct faculty members are appointed to teach on a semester-by-semester and course-by-course basis in FSC's regular undergraduate program, as well as in FSC's evening and graduate programs.
