What is an MLS Next Coach?

An MLS Next Coach is a soccer coach responsible for developing and training youth players within the MLS NEXT program, which is Major League Soccer's elite youth development platform in the United States and Canada. These coaches work with talented players, typically ages 13-19, to improve their technical, tactical, and personal skills, preparing them for potential collegiate or professional soccer careers. MLS Next Coaches are expected to adhere to high coaching standards and foster a positive, competitive environment that emphasizes both athletic and personal growth.
