Job description

PROMAN Staffing is partnered with a well-known distribution warehouse in Hernando, MS and is now hiring 1st and 2nd shift BLENDER MACHINERY OPERATORS (WAREHOUSE) who are team players, versatile, and dependable!

SHIFT AND PAY RATE
  • 1ST shift –6:30AM-3:00PM Monday through Friday plus mandatory overtime when needed
  • 2ND Shift--2:30PM-1:00AM Monday through Thursday
  • Pay Ranges between $22.00/HR to $25.00/HR

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Verifies correct materials required for blending on batch requirements.
  • Locate raw materials and documents transactions.
  • Blends raw materials and sends to processing.
  • Inspecting equipment and its parts to assure conformance to specifications.
  • Efficiently operate, maintains, change over and monitors process equipment.
  • Inspect and make blending adjustment to product and equipment as needed.
  • Keep proper documentation of weights, contents, batching, mixing, production, quality and downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and advise production supervisor of any and all problems.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment at the employee’s assigned workstation(s).
  • Observes all safety rules and procedures while performing duties, including maintaining PPE.
  • Achieving or surpassing established operational standards.
  • Other tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Production Supervisors and Managers.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 2+ years of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and standards, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective production of goods.
  • Ability to read gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure proper machine operation.
  • Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of, MSDS, lock-out/tag-out, and OSHA requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with production staff.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities to meet deadlines on schedule.
  • Ability to influence others and work within cross-functional teams to make responsible decisions.
  • Possess a high tolerance of ambiguity and flexibility with respect to job functions and working hours in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
  • 3+ years of production operations experience, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the automotive industry.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to safely lift, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout the shift; heavier items may require team lift or mechanical assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours per shift).
  • Ability to operate and work around a variety of blending and processing machinery.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment with regular exposure to chemicals, including use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, chemical-resistant footwear, goggles, and face shields.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and monitor multiple processes simultaneously.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work is performed in an industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to chemicals, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
  • Position may involve exposure to chemical splashes, fumes, vapors, and airborne particulates.
  • Work may involve handling or working in proximity to corrosive and other hazardous chemicals in a controlled environment.
  • Exposure to noise, vibrations, and other conditions typical of a production environment.
  • Employees are required to follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
