Job description

FedPro, Inc., a subsidiary of FPC International, Inc., is seeking a detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and dependable Chemical Mixer to join our team. The Chemical Mixer is responsible for mixing raw materials to create finished products according to batch tickets, while ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety standards are met throughout the process.

Location: Warrensville Heights, OH - in-office (4520 Richmond Rd.)
Work Schedule: Day shift (Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day), with evening or weekend hours as business needs require.
Reports to: Production Supervisor (on-site)
Certifications: Forklift certification required (Tow motor experience preferred).
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Prior experience in chemical blending, compounding, or manufacturing.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow batch instructions.
  • Comfort handling raw materials, chemicals, and operating blending equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build sealant batches according to batch sheet instructions.
  • Set up, start, and operate mixing tanks, mixers, pumps, scales, meters, and forklifts safely.
  • Review, understand, and follow all batch documentation and lab instructions.
  • Pump and pour chemicals into blend tanks in predetermined quantities.
  • Ensure correct ingredients, quantities, and weights are used for each batch.
  • Return unused inventory to stock accurately.
  • Communicate with material handlers and packers regarding material needs and batch readiness.
  • Ensure batches meet company quantity and quality standards.
  • Complete all batch documentation and paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Unload truck shipments as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records and prepare reports as required.
  • Assist other department associates when the supervisor is not present.
  • Follow all safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement standards.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in chemical blending, mixing, or a related manufacturing role.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math using weight and volume measurements.
  • Ability to safely handle 55-gallon drums and lift powder bags up to 60 lbs.
  • High attention to detail with consistent follow-up.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-focused.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
  • Professional demeanor with a positive, high-energy attitude.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Compounding experience (2+ years).

Physical Demands
This role requires the ability to operate standard warehouse and manufacturing equipment, lift up to 60 lbs. independently, and perform physical tasks associated with blending and production work. Extended standing, lifting, and material handling are required.
