Technical Telecommunications Migration Specialist

Our client is looking for a Telecommunications Migration Engineer to play a key role in a large-scale enterprise voice modernization initiative. This is an opportunity to work on a high-impact project involving Microsoft Teams Phone, Mitel PBX, and AudioCodes technologies while partnering with technical teams to deliver a successful migration from legacy voice systems.

What You’ll Do:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the migration of enterprise telephone services from Mitel PBX to Microsoft Teams Phone, AudioCodes gateways, and Avaya platforms, including configuration, testing, cutovers, and post-migration validation.
  • Configure and support Microsoft Teams Phone, Mitel PBX, and AudioCodes voice solutions while troubleshooting complex migration and VoIP issues.
  • Validate telephone inventory, analyze existing voice configurations, and develop technical migration plans for standard and non-standard scenarios.
  • Create technical documentation, implementation procedures, migration standards, and project status updates while supporting knowledge transfer to internal teams.
  • Leverage Excel and AI-assisted tools to analyze telecommunications data, improve documentation, streamline migration processes, and support project reporting.

What Gets You the Job:

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience administering and configuring Microsoft Teams Phone, including Direct Routing, Auto Attendants, Call Queues, and VoIP/SIP technologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Mitel PBX environments, including Hunt Groups, call routing, and voice system administration.
  • Knowledge of AudioCodes analog gateways or similar voice gateway technologies, including configuration and maintenance.
  • Experience delivering enterprise telecommunications migration or modernization projects with strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and inventory validation, along with experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude to enhance documentation and process efficiency.
