Job description

Service Technician Coordinator

Main Job Duties:
Top priority of job is to handle service calls; Coordinate with the appropriate parties to gather enough information for a successful service call. Will also be expected to be able to perform 811 / Miss Utilities calls. After learning enough of the service, may learn permitting to assist permit tech when we are busy.
! Computer literacy is required !
Main Duty:
- Service Handler: Handle service calls, gather adequate information, and work with department heads to schedule service. Also responsible for general calls to office.
- Correspondence: Stay current with work emails, digest and utilize the information. Communicate respectfully with other companies, builders, or city workers to facilitate or send documents and other information.
Secondary Duties:
- Information Management: Maintain a log of inspections and 811 calls.
- Information Tracking: Apply for permits, schedule inspections, and track changes as it may affect other departments. Report on whether there is more information needed for permits, whether inspections pass or fail, or if there is further action needed in field
Expectations:
Arrive at 8AM and start checking if any service calls are left on our answering service, give filled out tickets to technicians to go complete, and start coordinating more service calls. As you progress and become more comfortable with the Service Coordinator position, you will be expected to help the permit technician with 811 / Miss Utilities calls, calling in inspections, and other reception desk duties like completing warranty paperwork.

Qualifications:
- Must be able to utilize a computer comfortably and have good computer literacy
- Must be able to communicate well with others, as this job requires dealing with many people, in and out of our company
- Well organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated individual
Preferred:
- Previous reception / front office experience
- Previous experience with construction terminology or familiar with construction centric work, i.e. permits etc.
- Highschool diploma, or degree (preferred)
