JOB SCOPE: At Springhill Suites by Marriott, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. We are seeking an experienced and professional Bartender to join our hotel team. This role requires strong hospitality experience, consistency in service, and strict adherence to Marriott-style operational standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain strict adherence to measured pour policies.
  • Provide exceptional guest service in a professional hospitality environment.
  • Ensure bar is clean, stocked, and always organized.
  • Handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Follow all alcohol service laws and hotel policies.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean bar and dining room, including, but not limited to, bar surface, draught area, coolers, wells, sinks, mixing materials, server area and lounge.
  • Maintain product inventory and supplies including all liquors, beers, wines, mixes, garnishes, glassware, ice, and miscellaneous bar supplies throughout shift.
  • To provide BIG Service to internal and external guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Prior bartending or hospitality bar experience, required.
  • Ability to obtain KYSTAR Certification prior to orientation.
  • All candidates must complete a hands-on bartending practical exam during the interview process before hiring decisions are made.
  • Ability to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays (mandatory).
  • Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
  • Must be able to obtain required work cards, and non-gaming registration as required by the local jurisdiction.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must pass all pre-employment requirements.
