*This position requires a regular on-site presence at our campus in Wichita, KS.
Groups Ministry Administrative Assistant
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to Groups Director
Grade I ($12.40 - $17.90 Based on experience and qualification)
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides various administrative assistance in support of the mission of NewSpring Church and ministry goals. Supports the Groups and Next Step ministries through ministry leader support, communication, curriculum research, and inventory maintenance.
The incumbent must perform all job duties as outlined in this job description to support ongoing mission of the church while committed in accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000 edition).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
โ€ข Provide administrative support to Group Leaders through maintaining and updating group rosters, coordinating quarterly events, and assisting ongoing communications throughout all phases of the Group experience. (app. 50%)
โ€ข Assist with the administrative functions and various initiatives of all programs within the Next Step ministry. (app. 25%)
โ€ข Provide administrative support to the Groups Director by assisting with the coordination of ministry-planning activities, goal implementation, communication, organizing events, and compiling post-group feedback and participation data. (app. 10%)
โ€ข Assist the Groups Ministry in researching new curriculum materials, supporting inventory processes, and ensuring curriculum alignment with NewSpring's mission by maintaining library as directed. (app. 10%)
โ€ข Ensure environments are prepared and supplied to support small group meetings and other events. (app. 5%)
These duties are subject to change as church needs and strategies evolve. Employee may be required to perform other duties.
Requirements
EDUCATION/TRAININGโ€ข A minimum of a high school diploma is required.EXPERIENCE
โ€ข Minimum of 1 year of experience volunteering or working in church ministry.
โ€ข Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an office environment or administrative field.
REQUIRED SKILLS
โ€ข Positive temperament, dependability, and professionalism with effective interpersonal skills.
โ€ข Basic written, verbal, and math skills.
โ€ข Computer or mobile device competency with an aptitude to learn new software programs.
โ€ข Ability to follow directions.

โ€ข Coordination, organizational, and time management skills.
โ€ข Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

WORKING CONDITIONS
