Job Description

As a key member of the UP&E Controllership team, the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA), Accounting & Reporting will be part of the Financial Reporting team responsible for accounting processes, controls, systems, and reporting across UP&E (Consumer Products, Digital Games, and Franchise Management). This position requires close interaction with other divisions and senior management, reporting directly to the Director, Accounting & Reporting. The SFA role exists within a fast-paced environment having the opportunity for growth within the company.

Salary range: $80,000 - $95,000

Qualifications

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for weekly cash management and reporting
  • Key contributor for the monthly and quarter close processes in SAP, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, roll forwards, and investigating variances to prior periods
  • Oversight and review of Name, Voice, Likeness Talent Participant reporting for licensed intellectual properties which requires working with Financial Contract Administration and Reporting Team
  • Participate in the management of offshore accounting resources and review work product
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages, and opportunity to present results to Finance and Accounting leadership including UP&E CFO and Controller, Universal Destinations and Experiences Controller, and NBCUniversal Corporate Financial Reporting
  • Partner with Virtual Workforce team to use automation tools (robots, machine learning, AI) to automate accounting processes
  • Act as a liaison with other departments within UP&E, including Controllership counterparts around the world, FP&A, IT, and Contract Operations as well as other NBCUniversal teams including the Universal Destinations and Experiences Controllership team
  • Key contributor as NBCUniversal embarks on a legacy ERP to SAP S/4 Hana Transformation
  • Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives and opportunities to build efficiencies into existing reporting routines
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and perform accounting research as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • CPA or at least one exam passed
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, financial formulas)
