Overview

A growing multi-site operation is seeking an experienced Safety & Compliance Professional to lead safety programs, regulatory compliance initiatives, training, incident investigations, and risk management activities across multiple operating locations.

This position serves as the organization's primary resource for workplace safety, regulatory compliance, employee training, incident prevention, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will partner with leadership teams to foster a culture of accountability, safety awareness, and operational excellence.

This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.


Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and maintain company safety programs, policies, and procedures
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Identify hazards and implement corrective actions

Compliance & Regulatory Affairs

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and industry regulations
  • Maintain required records, reports, and documentation
  • Coordinate and support regulatory inspections and audits
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary updates

Incident Investigation & Risk Management

  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses
  • Develop corrective and preventive action plans
  • Track safety performance metrics and incident trends
  • Identify opportunities to reduce operational risk

Training & Employee Development

  • Develop and deliver safety training programs
  • Coordinate onboarding and recurring compliance training
  • Support emergency response preparedness and planning
  • Promote employee engagement in safety initiatives

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze safety performance data and develop improvement initiatives
  • Partner with operations leadership to strengthen accountability and compliance
  • Support projects related to workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and operational risk reduction

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in safety, compliance, risk management, mining, construction, industrial operations, manufacturing, or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety programs and regulatory compliance
  • Experience conducting investigations and root cause analyses
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and influence positive change

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mining, aggregates, heavy construction, industrial operations, or material processing environments
  • Professional safety certifications
  • Experience managing multi-site safety programs
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance requirements
