Summary:

The Sales Support Analyst plays a key role in supporting profitable growth by partnering closely with Sales, Supplier Operations, and other internal teams to develop, execute, and maintain effective pricing and account support strategies. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate customer and pricing data across CRM, ERP, and related systems to ensure data integrity and support reporting and execution. The role includes analyzing and adjusting customer and system pricing, supporting account strategy through regular collaboration with Sales, and identifying opportunities to improve margin, data quality, and process efficiency. The Sales Support Analyst serves as a data-driven business partner who helps balance customer needs, sales growth, and profitability objectives. This individual promotes our culture, our 5 P’s and our purpose to be our customer’s competitive advantage.


Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Collaborates closely with Sales to develop and support pricing strategies that align with customer needs, market conditions, and margin objectives; provides data-driven guidance on pricing decisions.
  • Identifies and communicates potential cost improvement opportunities to Supplier Operations teams and deploys a strategy with the sales team to utilize the savings to balance sales growth with margin improvement
  • Analyzes customer pricing and implements pricing adjustments in alignment with contract terms, account strategy, company goals, and profitability expectations.
  • Develops, maintains, and interprets key performance indicators and other reporting that measure pricing effectiveness, account performance, business impact, and process outcomes.
  • Analyzes and maintains system pricing structures, including matrix pricing, strategy-based pricing, and other pricing tools used to support customer and market needs; identifies pricing inconsistencies and corrects or escalates issues as needed.
  • Provides critical industry and competitive analysis, pricing strategies and pricing program development
  • Works with Supplier Operations Teams and Product Managers to develop and deploy balanced selling or gap analysis tools to identify opportunities to grow share with customers and deploy pricing strategy to support
  • Maintains and ensures accuracy of customer data within CRM, ERP, and related business systems, including customer records, hierarchies, pricing attributes, and account data to support pricing integrity, reporting accuracy, and account execution.
  • Manages incoming requests through the internal ticketing system, ensuring requests are prioritized, assigned appropriately, and completed accurately and on time; identifies trends and recommends process improvements, standardization, or automation opportunities.
  • Develops a strong understanding of the company’s cost management strategy (including growth rebates, burden cost, ship & debit contracts, etc.) and how to apply to customer pricing and profitability strategy.
  • Evaluate and determine product data required to develop effective gap analysis and profitability mining tools for the sales team and partner with Supplier Operations and Product Data to create and deploy in our PIM system
  • Partner with Sales and Supplier Operations teams to develop, modify, implement and analyze current and new System Price Strategies
  • Provides decision-making support to Account Managers and Sales Leadership
  • Performs customer, supplier, pricing, and profitability analysis to support business decisions, account planning, and operational initiatives.
  • Manages other pricing and reporting projects as needed
  • Handles internal customer requests and concerns

Job Requirements/Specifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience with an Associate’s Degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience analyzing and presenting complex data in an easy-to-understand format
  • Experience managing or coordinating projects is required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required
  • Advanced skills in mining data using business software
  • Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerBI and Dynamics skills are a plus
  • Experience in customer data management is a plus
  • Previous distribution center experience is a plus
  • Electrical product knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of Eclipse preferred
  • Education in Pricing Strategy is a plus
