Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales, and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits' products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement, and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance, and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea, and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment. 
Mini-Circuits sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, and sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.
Position Summary:
The L1 General Assembly Operator is an entry level position with constant supervision for the following tasks: Strip/ Cut Tap-Offs, Twist /Untwist Transformer Wires, Fixture Preparation, Cutting Wire on Cardboard, Dispensing all Types of Adhesives, General Components Installation, Conveyor Oven Operator, Wrapping and Trimming, Wire Positioning, Welding Operator, General Pre-Tin, Cut / Pre-Shape Leads, Hand Solder Operator, Cut and Bend Header Pins, Sub-Assy Cleaner, Installation of Screws into Connectors.
 
Job Function:
  • Turn the machine and or equipment on before using it and turn it off when not in use.
  • Use equipment with care and keep the surrounding work area clean and organized.
  • Recognize the difference between acceptable and non-acceptable results.
  • Verify, complete, and sign the required documentation provided on the computer.
  • Verify part numbers against the documentation provided and that the correct number of components are received.
  • Understand and follow all relevant written and verbal instructions in the model's documentation.
  • Follow the work sequence shown in the documentation.
  • Comply with ESD guidelines and regulations.
  • Reach production goals.
  • Share findings with Group Supervisor, Assistant Group Leader, and the Assemblers to keep communication open.
  • Report any non-conformities to the Group Supervisor or Assistant Group Leader.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma, GED or international equivalent.
  • 6 months experience in assembly or related experience.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Good hand, eye and foot coordination.
  • Ability to see fine detail through a microscope.
  • Ability to distinguish colors in accordance with the ISHIRA test for color blindness, and to understand the English word for each color.
  • Ability to understand both verbal and written instructions, including the documentation for various models.
  • Must have basic operational knowledge of how to use the equipment within the department.
  • Basic Computer skills and understanding of the MS Office Suite.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus and use a microscope.
