Mini Golf Attendant
Job Summary
The Mini Golf Attendant is a highly visible, guest-facing role responsible for delivering an exceptional recreational experience. This position greets guests, manages check-in and payments, distributes equipment, and ensures smooth day-to-day mini golf operations. The attendant plays a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging environment while promoting a fun and welcoming atmosphere for guests of all ages.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming guests with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Manage guest check-in, reservations, and flow of play to ensure an enjoyable experience
  • Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash and credit payments
  • Distribute and collect mini golf equipment (putters, balls, scorecards) efficiently and accurately
  • Maintain continuous presence at the check-in counter and act as the primary contact for guest needs
  • Answer guest questions, provide instructions on game rules, and offer general resort or facility information
  • Monitor pace of play and guest behavior to ensure safety, fairness, and adherence to rules
  • Communicate operational needs, guest concerns, and issues promptly with supervisors
Essential Duties
Guest Experience & Operations
  • Greet all guests and create a welcoming, engaging environment
  • Provide clear instructions on mini golf rules, course layout, and expectations
  • Assist guests with special requests, resolve complaints, and ensure satisfaction
  • Promote resort amenities, events, or mini golf activities when applicable
Cash Handling & Sales
  • Operate POS system to process admissions, rentals, merchandise, and concession sales
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer and follow opening/closing cash procedures
  • Count and reconcile cash drawer before and after each shift with supervisor oversight
  • Handle basic reporting of sales, fees, and daily transactions
Equipment & Inventory Management
  • Issue, track, clean, and store golf clubs, balls, and related equipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all mini golf materials and report shortages
  • Inspect equipment for damage and ensure proper working condition
  • Maintain organized rental and storage areas
Facility Maintenance & Safety
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mini golf course, check-in area, and surrounding facilities
  • Perform light maintenance such as removing debris, wiping surfaces, and resetting course features
  • Inspect course and equipment regularly to ensure safety and proper operation
  • Enforce safety rules and proper conduct to prevent accidents or disruptions
  • Follow all health, sanitation, and safety procedures
Recreation & Event Support
  • Assist with organizing group activities, tournaments, and special events
  • Help create an engaging, family-friendly environment through activities and guest interaction
  • Support additional recreation or concession operations when needed
Communication & Team Collaboration
  • Maintain consistent communication with supervisors regarding operations and guest feedback
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and coverage
  • Report incidents, maintenance issues, or emergencies promptly
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods in a semi-outdoor or outdoor environment
  • Work in varying weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain)
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment (typically 25-50 lbs)
  • Frequent walking, bending, and interacting with guests throughout the shift
