Job description

The Lead Estimator is responsible for accurate estimation of the materials and labor needed to complete a project according to engineered and designed plans. Works under general supervision; exercises discretion and judgement on work priority on a regular basis
Qualifications/Knowledge
Must be proficient in MS Excel and Word
Preferred bachelor degree in related discipline or equivalent
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in related field/responsibilities.
Working knowledge and experience using CAD software.
Experience in manufacturing and the wood industry preferred.
Skills and abilities
Must be well organized, detail-oriented, extremely accurate and quality-minded.
Ability to manage several activities/projects at once, to organize and prioritize work, to meet deadlines, and work under little supervision.
Demonstrated ability to prepare project estimates
Able to be mobile in the work environment and travel as required.
Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking
Ability to read and understand blue prints
Ability to apply business math to manufacturing process
Proficiency with MS Office and other business software.
