The Bernard Group is looking for a Production Manager to join our Millwork team. You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world class products to our customers. This role is responsible for managing, mentoring and coaching Supervisors, Leads and employees working in the Millwork. You will collaborate with Project Managers and other departments to ensure that client and TBG creative ideas are turned into tangible works within the clients’ budgets and timelines. This role is responsible for ensuring the work is of the highest quality commiserate of TBG’s standards and is also responsible for analyzing and evaluating existing workflows for optimization, thereby improving the efficiency and effectiveness of his/her team. This is a key management role, and the individual will manage all aspects of management such as hiring, ensuring proper training, inspiring a passion for excellence within his or her team, firing, or completing performance reviews.

A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have:
  • a Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent work experience
  • a minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably in the wood products industry
On top of that you must:
  • accurately use and understand measuring devices to ensure that work performed matches drawing specifications
  • be able to conform to changing priorities, demands and timelines throughout the workday
  • display high levels of customer service within the organization
  • understand and maintain the values and standards of The Bernard Group related to customer confidentiality, organization principles and employee information

In this position, you will:
  • maintain thorough understanding of all assigned projects and/or accounts and their timelines, scopes, and resourcing needs.

  • plan production strategies and time tables and prioritize, analyze, and implement more efficient and effective work flows with the goal of optimizing the work output of the team with quality as a focus.
  • act as a liaison with other internal departments within TBG to ensure clients’ needs are being met in accordance within project scope, budget, and timelines. Ensure assembly integrity through continuous monitoring of departmental processes.
  • anticipate production needs and problems and bring up concerns immediately to direct supervisor so any remediation necessary can be quickly implemented.
  • circulate production details and produced elements for internal review in keeping with production timelines establishing open lines of communication within the production floor.
  • maintain expertise with new technology, trends, prices, production techniques, and suppliers.
  • support a safe environment, driving towards 0 OSHA recordables.
  • represent corporate policy and communicate to employees as required.

This is a full-time position in Chanhassen, MN Compensation Range: $73,600 - $88,300 annually
