Job description

U.S. Lumber, an SBP Brand is currently looking for a Maintenance Associate to join our VALUES based organization in our Barclay, MD. branch. Working hours are 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. In this role you will focus on:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs preventative and routine maintenance of machines and equipment in accordance with SOP’s and established schedules.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and performs non routine maintenance repairs of equipment
  • Utilizes CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for entry of maintenance work orders and inventory
  • Assist with general light-duty maintenance tasks
  • Complete special maintenance projects as needed
  • Perform daily janitorial duties
  • Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections
  • Clean and maintain eyewash stations
  • Operate a forklift as needed (must have experience)

Requirements:

  • Prior experience with forklift operation
  • General maintenance and janitorial experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Attention to safety and detail in all tasks

Factory training and certification in diagnostic software. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience a plus. Valid Driver’s License required. Excellent written, organization, communication and service skills required.
