Job description

Warehouse Associate

U.S. Lumber, an SBP brand, is currently looking for Warehouse Associates to join our VALUES based organization who are responsible, at various points, for loading, unloading, sorting, staging, transporting, and otherwise handling products that come into and move out of the warehouse. Individuals in this position must work cooperatively with other Associates and productively with little supervision. Individuals must always follow U.S. Lumber safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Band, wrap, tape product
  • Maintain work area and be organized
  • Identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels and reports
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy - be able to stand and work on your feet throughout shift as normal routine
  • Be able to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50lbs
  • Work in an outside warehouse environment
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Work in a team environment
  • Other duties may be assigned

Environmental Job Requirements:

Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the Warehouse, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing uneven walking surfaces. Warehouse environment can be dusty and noisy. Fluctuations of temperature are common (below freezing to 100+); some outdoor exposure during the workday. Wet floors may occur during rainy or snowy weather or at other times depending on what has transpired in the environment (i.e. cleaning of floors…)

Required credentials:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have basic math and analytical skills
  • Must be computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.
