Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our Integrated Mission Environments business unit where we design, modernize and deliver modernized facilities that enable mission success – from where service members work, eat and build community.


The Project Manager (located in the National Capital Region) will be responsible for day-to-day customer coordination of several facility projects managing preconstruction, procurement, construction, turnover, and closeout. The project manager serves as coordination point with customers, our internal design team, sub-contractors, vendors and JANSON’s field staff.


Prior experience in working for a defense or federal contractor in the areas of pre-construction and construction related projects is required. Prior military experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

· Manage assigned projects from design through construction and final closeout.

· Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and action items.

· Manage project scope, budget, commitments, change orders, and forecasting.

· Coordinate architects, engineers, designers, contractors, vendors, procurement, and field teams.

· Lead project meetings and communicate status, risks, decisions, and required actions.

· Manage RFIs, submittals, design changes, approvals, and project documentation.

· Coordinate procurement and track long-lead materials, equipment, millwork, graphics, and other critical items.

· Partner with the Superintendent to manage construction progress and resolve field issues.

· Identify schedule, cost, scope, and operational risks and escalate significant issues to program leadership.

· Coordinate punch lists, turnover documentation, financial reconciliation, and project closeout.


Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

· BS degree or commensurate experiences with at least 3 years of experience in project management.

· Proven ability to manage multiple contracts and drive profit and growth.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to work in MS Project, excel and other advanced project management software (such as ProCore)

· Ability to accomplish big picture objectives through a strong focus on detail.

· Prior military experience preferred but not required


Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000
