Job description

Job Opening – Carpenter
Position Status: Full Time
Employee Classification: Field
Regular Work Hours: 7 am – 4:00 pm
Accountable to: Superintendent
Position Overview: Carpenter to ensure projects are completed safely, on-time, and with high quality workmanship. Also run punch lists, assist with self-perform work, site maintenance and supervision when Superintendent is absent. This position is an hourly paid position with a range of $25.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain winning attitude: Positive approaches.
  • Managing, scheduling and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare overall job schedules and 3-week look ahead schedules and be able to meet or exceed those schedules.
  • Actively seek new ways to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Produce work in the time frames set forth by owners and project managers.
  • Use diplomacy and tact when dealing with owners, architects, and engineers.
  • Solve challenges and onsite issues with help from design team.
  • Complete carpentry and self-perform work when needed.
  • Follow all local, state and OSHA safety rules and regulations mandated.
  • Follow all procedures set forth by HCI handbook.
  • Able to communicate with owners and architects.
  • Assisting Superintendent as needed
  • Operate Equipment (Forklift, Skidsteer, etc).
  • Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, hammer,etc).
