Mid-Level Ground Systems Engineer - Millennium Space Systems

JobSummary: As a Ground Systems Engineer, you will support Millennium's ground and mission control systems. You will design and develop ground system approaches fornewprograms. You will develop the integration and test plans and procedures for software and mission-specific ground system hardware. You will work with software developers and customers to deliver complete software and hardware solutions installed both at Millennium's factory and at customer-owned and operated sites for a variety of customers. You will also provide solutions for cloud-based applications for the same effort. You will support proposal development efforts to win new business. You will be involved with the ground development process from the start of the contract, going through design reviews, and leading up to the day of launch. After launch, you will sustain your systems throughout the life of the program, ensuring our products continue to deliver mission success.

This position's internal job isSystems Engineer. Our team is currently hiring for levels 3-4.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead definition of requirements for ground hardware and software

  • Help manage customer relationships directly with trade studies, development and testing for meeting system's mission requirements

  • Design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver large-scale mission control systems

  • Lead with other Millennium staff to support testing on components, subsystems, and spacecraft in test configurations

  • Develop plans and procedures to integrate Millennium software applications into Government-furnished software and infrastructure

  • Oversee integrated system test events bridging Millennium-developed products and Government-furnished systems

  • Designing the interfaces and implementation plans for mission data processing applications to support payload elements and our programs' user segments

  • Support ground systems during on-orbit activities, including launch, early operations, on-orbit test, normal operations, and end-of-life operations

  • Support proposals for new ground systems in support of new business efforts

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.A final U.S. clearance Post Start is required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineeringor STEM related field

  • Comfortable communicating technical details verbally and in writing

  • Experience designing and integrating new ground systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master's degree in Engineeringor STEM related field

  • 2+ years of experience designing, developing and/or operating ground systems

  • Demonstrated understanding of validation/verification testing

  • Active clearance

Summary pay range:

  • Level 3: $119,850 - $176,250

  • Level 4: $146,200 - $215,000
