The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia, has an immediate opening for a Mill Foreman to oversee operations and projects for the #1 Mill Area.

Responsibilities
  • Development of and adherence to mill build schedule.
  • Supervise employees and foster culture.
  • Ensure accurate equipment tracking.
  • Work with the team to identify and implement solutions for mill equipment repair and modifications.
  • Work with mill adjuster and mill supervisor to address and document emergent problems.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Safety: Foremen are responsible for driving all components of "Take Control of Safety" to their teams (High Risk Exposures, PSIF Initiatives, PSIF/SIF Management, etc.)
    • Toolbox Talks (Safety Alerts and other safety discussions)
    • Exposure Assessments and Red Tap Challenges.
    • Enforcing and coaching of Cardinal Life-saving Rules.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Mill building experience.
  • Proven leadership and supervision skills.
  • Strong self-starting abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects to ensure timeliness.
