Mill Machinist II - 2nd Shift
Work Schedule:

At Moog, we design and manufacture high-performance systems that power some of the world's most advanced aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. Our success is built on innovation, collaboration, and the expertise of skilled machinists who take pride in delivering precision components that perform in mission-critical environments.
As a machinist within our Military Aircraft Group, you will machine some of the most challenging parts which will be used on major production programs such as F-35, MQ-25, and FLRAA.
Currently, we are seeking a skilled Mill machinist who takes pride in precision craftsmanship and wants to see their work contribute to some of the world's most advanced programs. In this role, you'll manufacture complex, high-precision components used in flight-critical systems where quality, reliability, and performance are non-negotiable.
This position is eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus. To qualify, candidates must submit their application between July 20, 2026, and November 30, 2026, and is subject to the terms of the bonus agreement.
To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
  • In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Agency (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company's "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.

As a Mill Machinist II, you will:
  • Perform a complete range of milling operations on all types of material using vertical mills, and tracer-type milling machines.
  • Set up and operate a vertical mill.
  • Make all set-ups using specified equipment.
  • Occasionally develop new methods and machining techniques.
  • Interpret drawings, occasionally work without operation sheets, and make difficult layouts.
  • Need to work, at times, with minimum guidance.
  • Inspect all work performed and detect unusual conditions, defective materials, and defective parts using different inspection equipment and processes.
