A Military Physician Assistant (PA) is a medical professional who provides healthcare services to military personnel, their families, and retirees. They work under the supervision of a physician and perform duties such as diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, and assisting in surgeries. Military PAs serve in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and combat zones. They also undergo military training and may be deployed in support of missions. Their role is crucial in ensuring the health and readiness of service members.

Depending on your assignment, you may work in clinics, field environments, or during deployments where responsibilities can quickly shift to trauma and urgent care scenarios. You’ll regularly collaborate with physicians, nurses, medics, and other healthcare professionals as part of a cohesive medical team.
