Position Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to serve as Front Desk Receptionists. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, have a keen eye for detail, and want to gain valuable experience in a dynamic museum environment. Whether you’re looking to fulfill community service hours or simply want to contribute to a meaningful cause, this opportunity is for you!

Responsibilities

  • Visitor Greeting: Welcome and assist visitors at the front desk, providing a warm and informative introduction to the museum.
  • Payment Processing: Learn and use the Square payment system to handle ticket sales and transactions.
  • Safety Policy: Inform visitors about museum safety policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
  • Souvenir Inventory: Assist with managing and organizing souvenir inventory, including restocking items and helping with sales.

Qualifications

  • Friendly Demeanor: Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude when interacting with visitors.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to handle transactions accurately and manage inventory efficiently.
