Job Summary:

This position is located at the Pendleton Finishing Plant in Pendleton, SC and reports to the Engineering Services Manager (ESM). The Engineering Administrative Assistant position provides support on operational engineering related issues, including associate time entry, training tracking & documentation, daily scheduling for the ESM, Contractor sign in, and data entry.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in the development of Engineering Services procedures and policies
  • Maintain files, records, and reports
  • Administer specified tasks in SAP Management System
  • Enter data into AMMS
  • Open and close PM packets in AMMS
  • Maintain ESM's daily calendar
  • Update the Engineering Dept DMS board daily
  • Prepare management information reports and documents
  • Liaison with payroll, absence recording, and holiday recording systems
  • Assist engineering management with AMMS PM development and modifications
  • Enter and maintain associate education/training documentation
  • Maintain up to date files on contractors related to certificates of liability insurance & drug screen results
  • Maintain safety sub-committee information
  • Coordinate sub-committee activities
  • Collect, prepare, and mail legal & environmental documents
  • Any other duties as assigned by manager

 

Qualifications - Required:

  • Ability to speak, write and read the English language
  • Ability to read and prepare a variety of documents and reports including requisition entry, MES/AMMS reports, and other office correspondence
  • Ability to communicate and interact with other associates, contractors, vendors, and the general public, while exhibiting poise, voice control and confidence
  • Proficient in PC hardware components, desktop operation system software, application software, MES, AMMS, SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Able to work alone on broad variety of projects
  • Able to handle contractor/vendor visits and requirements

Qualifications - Preferred:

  • Minimum 2 year Associates Degree preferred or equivalent experience in Administration.
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

  • Initiative and self-motivation
  • Communication skills
