Job description

When You Manage at Milestone, You Don't Just Lead a Team, You Leave a Mark.

At Milestone Therapy, leadership isn't a title. It's a daily choice to show up with empathy, to hold the line when it's hard, and to be the kind of leader that people actually want to follow.

As our Medical Services Manager, you won't just oversee operations. You'll shape the culture of a department that directly impacts the lives of children and the families who love them. That means building an environment where clinicians feel genuinely supported, where high standards and real compassion exist in the same room, and where the work people do every day actually means something.

We believe the best leaders don't manage from a distance, they're in it. They know their people, they protect their team, and they hold themselves to the same standard they hold everyone else. Kindness isn't soft here, it's the expectation. Accountability isn't punitive, it's how we grow. And excellence isn't a goal we chase, it's what happens when the right people work together with real purpose.

If that's the kind of leader you are, or the kind you've been working to become, we want to meet you!

What You’ll Do

  • Be the kind of leader you’d want to work for

  • Guide your team with clarity and respect.

Communicate directly, kindly, and consistently, even when it’s hard.

  • Know when to lead from the front and when to empower others to take the reins.

  • Bring positive energy and professionalism to everything you do.

Lead With Your Heart

  • Model our core values on a daily basis.

  • Inspire and support your team through regular check-ins, feedback, and growth-focused conversations.

  • Create a culture of accountability, encouragement, and professional pride.

  • Serve as a mentor and trusted leader for those you manage.

Keep Operations Running Smoothly

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Medical Services Department across Highland, Homewood, and/or school-based settings as assigned, ensuring high-quality care, operational efficiency, and consistent service delivery.

  • Support scheduling, workload balance, and team coordination.

  • Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Drive Quality and Improvement

  • Implement systems to track, measure, and continuously improve service delivery.

  • Use data, insight, and compassion to make informed decisions and solve real problems.

Build for the Future

  • Contribute to strategic planning and department structure 6 –12 months out.

  • Monitor budgets, team productivity, and financial targets, and make adjustments where needed.

  • Identify gaps, recommend solutions, and bring ideas forward with confidence.

What You Need to Bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or Business Administration (strongly preferred)

  • At least 3 years of experience in healthcare or related therapeutic services, including leadership and team management.

  • A strong understanding of healthcare compliance, documentation, and service workflows

  • Comfort with technology: EMR systems, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Meet), and HR/payroll tools

  • Emotional intelligence, clear communication, and a calm, centered leadership style

  • A solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to plan ahead, pivot when needed, and keep things moving

  • A commitment to being onsite full-time. This is a 100% onsite leadership role requiring a consistent in-person presence across locations.

You’re the Right Fit If You:

  • Know how to balance high standards with genuine compassion

  • Thrive in fast-paced, people-first environments
