Job description

SAP S/4HANA Technical Migration Architect

This project is a multi-year program to consolidate 4 SAP ECC systems into a single composable ERP platform. The SAP S/4HANA Technical Migration Architect will migrate existing capabilities from the existing SAP ECC instances into the new consolidated SAP S/4HANA transactional core using industry standard tools such as SNP's CrystalBridge. This resource will collaborate with the SAP S/4HANA Migration Technical Advisor & Technical Lead to define the migration approach, scope, and sequencing. They will be involved in stand-up and configure industry-standard migration tool such as SNP CrystalBridge in client cloud environment for team to leverage as part of migration activities. They will contribute to the development of a detailed program schedule, and resource plan for the migration effort.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review from a technical perspective and interpret results from system scans and analyses performed by migration tools on existing SAP ECC instances
  • Provide insights on data harmonization, system consolidation challenges, and technical dependencies
  • Assist with the identification of technical best practices for migrating custom developments, interfaces, and configurations to S/4HANA
  • Assist in identifying technical risks and mitigation strategies related to migration activities
  • Support decision-making on migration scenarios (e.g., selective data transition vs. full system conversion)
  • Work closely with functional and data teams to provide them with the tools needed to execute migration and ensure alignment between technical migration strategy and business requirements
  • Communicate technical considerations clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • May manage a team, including mentoring and training junior team members

Here's what you need:

  • 4+ years of experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA technical architecture and standard SAP tools at program's disposal to aid in upgrade and migration
  • Experience with SAP migration tools such as SNP CrystalBridge, SAP DMLT, or equivalent
  • Experience coordinating with third party service providers
  • Ability to analyze system landscapes and recommend migration strategies
  • Familiarity with data migration, system consolidation, and selective data transition approaches

Nice to have:

  • SAP S/4HANA certification
  • Prior involvement in multi-system consolidation projects
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Team lead experience

Eligibility requirements:

  • US Citizen (no dual citizenship)
  • Must be eligible to obtain a government Secret Clearance
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
