Job description

Evening/Weekend Events Supervisor:

Job Summary

The position is responsible for supervising and managing the Parking Enforcement Unit; ensures tickets are issued, complaints are answered, and parking enforcement officers are trained and equipped properly. This supervisor must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.

Nature of Work

This position typically reports to a City General Operations Manager and/or Senior Operations Manager or another management position. This position is responsible for the hiring, training and supervision of Enforcement Ambassadors & Lot Ambassadors parking staff. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the smooth and continuous flow of events, enforcement of city activities.

Examples of Duties

Plans, organizes, and directs operations and work activities of various sections within the department to include permits, appeals, and enforcement through day-to-day contact with subordinate supervisors.

Reviews, researches, develops and recommends revisions to university wide registration, appeals and enforcement procedures, regulations and programs dealing with parking and transportation.

Provides information and consultation to the director on operating costs and budget planning for activities such as parking lot repair and meter repair and maintenance.

Informs university department representatives of parking problems, changes to signs or availability of space.

Adjudicates grievances of applicants dissatisfied with appeals determinations and defends determinations before the parking hearing board if necessary.

Conducts utilization studies of parking spaces and lots by preparing data collection forms, deciding on areas for study, assigning personnel to collect data and analyzing data to determine peak usage and average usage times.

Assesses rules and regulations, reviews citations, and communicates with the community about citations and policies.

Create weekly attendant scheduling & coordinate with security vendor for assistance as needed.

Perform enforcement of all company locations and issue violation for unpaid parking or other vehicle safety violations as necessary.

Coordinate with booting & towing companies immobilize or impound scofflaw violators.

De-escalate and provide sound solutions to irate customers in an effort to promote a positive customer experience.

Repair T2 machines, entry/exit gates, system errors for all surface parking locations & garages as needed.

Collect revenue from all special event parking attendants and provide change for every parking special event.

Conduct random audits to ensure all customers are paid special event parking rates to ensure compliance and adherence to company policy and procedures.

Respond to all customer incidents, reports of property damage, illegal activities occurring on any Park Place parking locations and complete incident reports as needed.

Coordinate with the Atlanta Police Department and/or Midtown Blue as needed to provide assistance as necessary.

Issue parking tickets to special event attendants for all events.

Clean debris as necessary and report outages and repairs needed to senior management.

Make recommendations for parking rate increases to management for special events and normal parking operations.

Auditing

Complete daily and weekly summary of actions for management.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with five years of experience OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.

The incumbent may be required to lift up to approximately 10 pounds.

Special Working Conditions

This position may be exposed to inclement weather since some of the work is done outdoors. Working conditions may include restricted movement and travel
