Job Description

BIICS, Inc is looking to fill a Middleware Support Systems Engineer position. The position is located in Tallahassee, Florida, and work is on-site.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the client in implementing solutions selected by management.
  • Assist with maintaining Red Hat Fuse services, Apache Camel, QuartzDesk, Java‑based applications, upgrading or replacing JBoss‑EAP servers, including custom batch processing, maintaining and developing internal web applications and web services, designing, developing, and testing APIs integration between the front‑end, middleware, and back‑end systems; provide ongoing operational support for all live integrations.
Requirements
  • Working experience integrating and supporting the following products: Windows Servers, GitLab Servers, JBoss‑EAP servers, RedHat FUSE, Apache Camel.
  • Work experience with the following application development skills: creating web services, creating APIs, Java, JBoss.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of program/system analysis experience with emphasis in applications and systems architectural design and development, database and middleware technologies.
  • Experience developing and deploying integrated solutions aimed at modernizing, consolidating and coordinating the independently designed applications within and across the enterprise.
  • Demonstrated experience following application development best practices, including guardrails, reusable components, governance, and design standards.
  • Experience gathering, compiling, and synthesizing information with regard to technology processes or systems.
  • Experience with Enterprise Applications Integration methodologies and processes such as object‑oriented programming and data distribution using common data standards, middleware applications and message queuing approaches.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
