We are looking for aPrincipal Software Engineer, Middleware & Datato join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies.This role willreporttoSr Director Software Engineeringand based inSan Jose, CA.This is a fully on-site, in officerole5 days a week.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop highperformance backend and systems components usingRustorGo.
  • Debug complex issues across service boundaries, integrations, and data paths.
  • Build and maintain middleware components and servicetoservice integrations.
  • Work with relational, NoSQL, andtimeseries databases, and understandOLAPquery paradigms.
  • Solve problems involvingstreaming data, ordering, backpressure, and throughput optimization.
  • Follow disciplinedSDLCpractices including code reviews, testing, documentation, and CI workflows.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams on architecture, integration points, and system evolution.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 10 years of overall programming experience with strong programming experience inRust,Go, or other compiled languages.
  • Excellent debugging skills-across application layers, integrations, and data pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Middleware fundamentals
    • Databases (SQL, NoSQL,timeseries)
    • OLAPworkloads and analytical query patterns
    • Streaming systemsand distributed data flow concepts
  • Proficiency withgitand modern development workflows.
  • Strong SDLC discipline and engineering best practices.

Nice to have Skills

  • Experience withHelm chartsand Kubernetesbased deployments.
  • Familiarity withcontainers(Docker, container tooling) andsecure container practices.
  • Exposure toDevOps pipelines, CI/CD systems, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
