To thrive as an Ecommerce Inventory Remote Specialist, you need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of inventory management principles, often supported by experience or coursework in supply chain or business administration. Familiarity with inventory management software, Excel, and ecommerce platforms like Shopify or Amazon Seller Central is typically required. What does an Ecommerce Inventory Remote worker do?

An Ecommerce Inventory Remote worker is responsible for managing and tracking inventory levels for online stores from a remote location. Their duties often include monitoring stock, updating product listings, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring that inventory is accurate and up-to-date to avoid stockouts or overstocking. They may also analyze sales trends, forecast inventory needs, and use inventory management software to optimize stock levels. This role helps ensure that customers can purchase products without issues and that the business operates efficiently.

In a remote Ecommerce Inventory role, collaboration with teams such as purchasing, sales, and customer service is essential to maintain accurate stock levels. You will often use digital communication tools to coordinate with suppliers, update product listings, and resolve discrepancies. Regular virtual meetings and shared inventory management systems help ensure everyone stays informed about stock status and upcoming promotions. This cross-functional teamwork is crucial for preventing stockouts or overstock situations and for providing customers with up-to-date product availability.

About Us
KITSCH is proud to be recognized as a self-financed, female-owned global accessory brand built on positivity and pure hard work. Established in 2010, with a business plan no longer than a paragraph, Kitsch has grown from door to door sales to selling products in over 27 countries across 20,000 retail locations worldwide.
We believe that everyone should feel confident when purchasing our products no matter your hair type, style or budget.
The Role:
KITSCH is seeking a Director of eCommerce to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will own the Shopify storefront end-to-end, overseeing both the front-end experience and back-end operations. You will manage the promotional calendar, lead the CRO roadmap, and use data to enhance conversion rate, AOV, and overall site performance. Candidates should be expert-level Shopify operators with a strong background in analytics, UX/UI, and cross-functional leadership in a fast-paced DTC or consumer brand environment.
Job Responsibilities and Key Result Areas:

  • Oversee both front-end experience and back-end operations to ensure a seamless, high-performing storefront at all times.
  • Partner with developers and agencies to manage site integrations, technical updates, and platform enhancements.

  • Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests across key site pages to continuously improve the customer journey.
  • Identify and address UX/UI friction points that impact site performance and purchase behavior.
  • Own the promotional and campaign calendar, ensuring every initiative is executed with precision and aligned to revenue goals.

Analytics & Reporting
  • Analyze site performance using Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity to surface actionable insights.
  • Present performance findings, test results, and strategic recommendations to key stakeholders including the CMO.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent reporting cadence across eCommerce KPIs including conversion rate, AOV, bounce rate, and revenue.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, and Development teams to align eCommerce strategy with broader business goals.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all site-related requests across departments, triaging and prioritizing effectively.
  • Lead and mentor the eCommerce team, setting clear expectations, priorities, and performance standards.

Core Competencies and Qualifications
  • 7+ years of eCommerce experience with at least 2 years in a director or senior leadership role. DTC or consumer brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Shopify, both front-end and back-end operations.
  • Strong background in CRO, A/B testing, UX/UI principles, and checkout optimization.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable improvements in conversion rate, AOV, and site revenue.
  • Experience managing developer or agency relationships for site updates and technical integrations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills. You can translate data into clear strategic direction for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Comfortable working autonomously across remote and offshore team structures.
