Job description

Weโ€™re hiring experienced and motivated Cooks (I, II, III) to join our culinary teams across multiple venues at Route 66 Casino. As a Cook, you will contribute to the preparation and presentation of high-quality food in a fast-paced environment. Depending on your level, responsibilities range from basic prep and station support (Cook I), to executing recipes and leading specific kitchen areas (Cook II), to supervising kitchen operations and mentoring staff (Cook III). All cooks are expected to follow food safety standards, maintain a clean work area, and contribute to an efficient and positive kitchen culture.

Weโ€™re hiring for full-time and part-time positions with varied schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays.

  • Cook I: Entry-level, 0โ€“1 year of experience. Responsible for prep work, basic cooking, and supporting line cooks.

  • Cook II: Mid-level, 1โ€“3 years of experience. Skilled in multiple stations and consistent in food preparation and presentation.

  • Cook III: Advanced-level, 3+ years of experience. Leads stations, assists with training and supervision, and ensures quality and efficiency.

All candidates must be able to work on their feet, lift up to 50 lbs, follow recipes accurately, and thrive in a team-oriented environment. Food Handlerโ€™s certification (or ability to obtain one) is required. A pre-employment alcohol and drug screening is mandatory.
