Job description

Director, Demand Generation- Capital One Software (Remote)

Capital One Software Marketing is looking for a Director of Demand Generation to own the pipeline engine that fuels the growth for our industry leading SaaS platform. This is a strategic, revenue-accountable leadership role and not a just lead-generation job. You'll architect and run the integrated demand strategy and you'll be measured on the qualified pipeline, revenue, and efficiency you produce.

You'll partner closely with Sales, RevOps, Product Marketing, SDR/BDR, Partner Marketing, Web Marketing and Data & Analytics teams to build a repeatable, scalable growth engine, developing and delivering always on campaigns and programs for our ICP and target segments.

What you'll do

Strategy & planning

  • Build and own the end-to-end demand generation strategy by segment, persona, and ICP, mapping campaigns and programs to the full buyer journey from awareness through acquisition.

  • Translate revenue targets into quarterly pipeline and campaign plans, and forecast with credible, data-backed accuracy.

  • Help refine our ideal customer profile, target account lists, and segmentation in partnership with RevOps, Sales, and Product Marketing.

Campaign & program execution

  • Develop and lead integrated, full-funnel campaign and program planning and execution across digital, ABM, nurture, webinars, content syndication, and assist in partner/co-marketing engagements.

  • Stand out in a noisy market with differentiated messaging, creative, and demand generation offers - grounded in buyer insight and competitive positioning.

  • Run a continuous experimentation and testing program to optimize messaging, execution channels, offers, and conversion.

Growth engine & MarTech

  • Build a scalable, privacy-aware demand engine leveraging modern marketing technology.

  • Champion the responsible use of AI to accelerate campaign production, personalization, and analysis.

  • Ensure data quality, attribution discipline, and clean handoffs between marketing and sales.

Sales alignment & pipeline management

  • Refine and govern marketing-to-sales SLAs, lead/account routing, and follow-up cadences.

  • Run joint pipeline inspection and coverage reviews with Sales leadership; prioritize geos, accounts, and segments jointly.

  • Continuously improve conversion rates, velocity, and win rates by stage and segment.

Team & operating cadence

  • Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing team.

  • Lead weekly/monthly/quarterly operating reviews with clear demand metrics, accountability, and course correction.

  • Communicate plans, results, and resource needs to executive leadership with clarity and conviction.

Budget & ROI

  • Own the demand generation budget with disciplined allocation, reallocation, and ROI accountability across channels and segments.

  • Drive down CAC and improve payback period while sustaining pipeline coverage and growth.

Who you are

  • Your curiosity is endless. There's always something else to learn.

  • You're flexible and not afraid of change, in fact you welcome the challenge.

  • You share your point of view, but seek out what might be missing and listen.

  • You have big ideas and know the best ones are driven by proof, persistence and patience.

  • You're a storyteller. You simplify the complex and compel your audience to act.

  • You know how to enjoy yourself. While fun isn't mandatory, it certainly seems to follow you.

  • You care-about the work, your team and the customers you serve.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years years in B2B marketing

  • At least 5 years experience in Software or SaaS demand generation

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience of owning pipeline and revenue outcomes in a Software or SaaS business Marketing environment

  • Experience across one or more motions (for example: enterprise, mid-market, and/or product-led growth)

  • Strong understanding of modern marketing technology, CRM (for example: Salesforce), marketing automation (for example: Marketo, HubSpot), attribution and BI, intent and enrichment data, ABM platforms, paid media, and demand analytics

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, hiring, and coaching skills

  • Demonstrated ability communicating strategy and results to C-suite and board level executives

  • Understanding of funnel metrics, attribution models, cohort analysis, and pipeline economics and the ability to make decisions and trade-offs from data

  • Experience with category creation, international expansion, or channel, partner demand programs

  • Familiarity with community-led growth and developer or technical audiences

  • Experience operationalizing AI in marketing workflows

  • Experience marketing to technical buyers or in a data, cloud, or security category.

  • Privacy-aware measurement expertise (for example: first-party data, consent, modeling)
