Mid Level Neuromorphic Computing information

What are mid level neuromorphic computing professionals?

Mid level neuromorphic computing professionals are specialists with several years of experience who design, develop, and optimize hardware and software systems inspired by the structure and function of the human brain. They typically work on building and programming neuromorphic chips, developing algorithms that mimic neural processes, and integrating these systems into real-world applications such as robotics or edge computing. Their expertise bridges neuroscience, computer engineering, and artificial intelligence, and they often collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance brain-inspired computing technologies.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in mid-level neuromorphic computing roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in mid-level neuromorphic computing roles often encounter challenges such as integrating novel hardware with existing software systems, managing the complexity of neural-inspired algorithms, and keeping pace with rapid advancements in the field. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams—including hardware engineers, data scientists, and neuroscientists—can help address these challenges. Additionally, staying updated on the latest research and industry trends, as well as participating in collaborative projects, can enhance problem-solving skills and foster innovation in this evolving area.

Job description

At Klaviyo, we value the unique backgrounds, experiences and perspectives each Klaviyo (we call ourselves Klaviyos) brings to our workplace each and every day. We believe everyone deserves a fair shot at success and appreciate the experiences each person brings beyond the traditional job requirements. If you're a close but not exact match with the description, we hope you'll still consider applying. Want to learn more about life at Klaviyo? Visit klaviyo.com/careers to see how we empower creators to own their own destiny.
About the Opportunity
At Klaviyo, the Sales team prides themselves on being marketing and product experts. While most companies hire pre-sales Solutions Engineers to just give demos, fill out questionnaires, and only explain setups, that makes us yawn.
We're looking for a Solutions Engineer who brings deep technical mastery, strategic thinking, and the ability to own the most complex, high-stakes Mid-Enterprise deals. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who gets energized by ambiguity, rolls up their sleeves to master our product at a molecular level, and uses AI and automation to punch above their weight.
As an SE, you'll be a trusted advisor to both customers and our sales organization - leading technical strategy in 6-7 figure deals, owning solution design, and setting the standard for SE excellence through your work
What We Do as Solutions Engineers
We're technical sellers who drive revenue by winning complex deals. Our job is to lead the technical win - building champions, proving value, and ensuring prospects choose Klaviyo over the competition. We work directly with customers to architect solutions that integrate seamlessly into their tech stacks, taking a consultant-first approach that builds confidence and secures technical buy-in.
Beyond closing deals, we use customer engagements as opportunities to prototype and ship improvements to Klaviyo. Recent team projects include: AI-powered demo data generators, a public Chrome extension for troubleshooting API calls, web SDK injectors, and templatized mobile apps for showcasing our SDK capabilities.
If you're a creator excited by winning high-stakes deals, prototyping technical solutions, and driving strategic revenue outcomes - this could be for you.
How You'll Make a Difference
Lead the Technical Win in High-Stakes, Complex Deals
  • Own technical strategy for the most complex opportunities - navigating multi-layered stakeholder environments, competitive pressures, and sophisticated buying processes with minimal oversight
  • Drive advanced technical discovery, uncovering nuanced pain points and proactively identifying differentiation opportunities
  • Host technical workshops aligning solutions to business outcomes with executive presence and strategic communication
  • Architect and execute Proof of Value plans that achieve technical selection over competition
  • Partner with AEs on deal strategy, bringing competitive intelligence and industry expertise to influence outcomes
Bring Subject Matter Expertise and Industry Leadership
  • Serve as a domain expert in marketing technology, CDPs, AI-driven personalization, analytics, and eCommerce
  • Act as go-to resource for competitive and industry landscape questions
  • Build strong R&D relationships, actively collaborating to drive positive outcomes and shape Klaviyo's roadmap
  • Contribute high-impact content to the SA Learning Library and mentor peers through example
Operate with Deep Technical Mastery and Innovation
Become a complete expert in Klaviyo's platform from data pipelines and integration codebases to technical tradeoffs between implementations
Develop broad, advanced familiarity with web development, APIs, cloud computing, and software development practices - confidently coaching experienced engineers on complex solutions
Leverage AI tools and automation to scale your impact and deliver better customer outcomes
Prototype solutions and build proof-of-concepts that demonstrate Klaviyo's differentiation
Who You Are
Required:
  • 4+ years in Solutions Engineering or Pre-Sales - with 4+ years leading technical strategy in high-complexity Enterprise deals (6-7 figures) with minimal oversight
  • 4+ years across modern development stacks: Python, JavaScript frameworks (Node.js, React), RESTful APIs, SQL, mobile development exposure
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Codex, Claude Code) and emerging patterns like MCP
  • Strong domain knowledge in marketing automation, CDPs, eCommerce systems, analytics, or data engineering
  • Advanced discovery and requirements gathering skills - navigating multi-layered stakeholder environments
  • Executive presence and exceptional communication - impressing prospects from executive to developer level
  • Demonstrated ability to handle challenging conversations, manage objections, and deliver strategic insights
What Sets You Apart:
  • You've used AI to scale effectiveness - automation, research, solution design, or development
  • You bring deep competitive intelligence and know the landscape intimately
  • You've built strong R&D relationships and drive outcomes through influence without authority
  • You roll up your sleeves - you dig in, figure it out, and become the expert
  • You've elevated team performance through your example and enablement contributions
  • You thrive in ambiguity and fast-moving environments
